Pretty "Huge" make up haul !

I've collected quite a bit of make up in the past month but have never really had the time to write a review. My finals are due by Friday so by then my summer will "officially" start- and therefore, I will return to this blog!!

{REVIEW} TONYMOLY- Dear Me Blusher in Petite Coral

Last year on my trip to South Korea, I bought this cute, circular compact blusher from Tony Moly in Petite Coral. It fits in the palm of my hand and gives the perfect amount of colour!!
I really am impressed by the pigmentation of this blush and how it compliments my skin :)
I think the most effective thing about this blusher is that it comes with a super cute puffer with a blue ribbon on it!

The soft puffer catches just enough of the product - and I really feel like some type of princess whenever I puff the product gently onto my face.

The camera really washed out the pigmentation of this product but trust me- it's definitely worth it and I'm really happy with this product :)

Mini Ikea Haul

So the other day my dad and I went to IKEA again to look around and I couldn't help but notice this cute, white-laced design on a vase just hanging around on a shelf so I just had to have it.

Along with this tiny bamboo bowl that, of course, I saw on my way out (-_-) - so I got that too.

Being the makeup junkie that I am, I thought it'd be cute to use the vase as a makeup brush holder! I just stuffed the bottom of the vase with some cushiony items lying around the house to boost the brushes a bit or they'd kinda sink a bit.

The mini bamboo bowl came in handy for the little accessories, rings and hair ties that I had (those easily-lost sortof items) so yeah!! It looks great on my desk and I"m so happy with this purchase!!

But lastly- I got these two DIY boxes with BEAUTIFUL patterns that I am so inlove with- I just couldn't bring myself to leave them alone - so I also got one of each pattern that I liked the most.

Here they are- after being assembled, of course. They're pretty awesome sizes and the black/white/pink one totally has so much space to fill with binders, extra papers idling on your desk/floor and yeah! The more tribal-patterned box is really deep and fits my piggy bank, mason cup.. notepads- just everything!
If you're looking for something that's really affordable - and want to do some late spring cleaning.. you should definitely get yourself one or two (or three!) of these cute cute boxes :)

That concludes my little IKEA haul <3

Haul: Clothing, skincare, accessories

I haven't posted in a while! Today I went shopping and picked up a lot of new stuff- well it seemed like a lot at first, haha~ I went around the mall today- which was quite empty since all the highschoolers are still in school.. = less crowded!
So here's what I got:
 I got:
- GARAGE: floral, sortof crewneck/v-neck shirt
- 2 H&M dresses
- LUSH face mask (Oatifix)
- H&M bun maker

I know these things have been going around in almost every beauty blogger/youtuber's site but I never got myself to get one of these!! I've seen people use them and have concluded that some people pull it off, while others don't.. but today I just really wanted to pick one up and I'm really really glad that I did :)
They're really fun to play with and surprisingly- really simple to use!!

I also decided to stop by LUSH to pick up a facemask since my skin's just been feeling meh- and I wanted to try something new. I usually used the BB SEAWEED mask and it was alright! This one, though- really caught my attention. I don't know why I never heard of this one! Oatifix- it smells sooo delicious (haha) and the cashier said some really awesome things about it :)
She also recommended me a facial cleanser that she wanted me to try- so she gave me a tiny sample of it :) it's called the Ultrablend cleanser- and it helped her clean off her eyemakeup and stuff so I can't wait to try it out :) Gonna write a review on these two products sometime.

Also, here's some pics of what I saw today at Zara, Jugo juice, etc .

Aerie 40% off Haul - [WORKOUT CLOTHES]

Two days ago, I was hanging around the mall before my movie was playing- and came across Aerie's 40% off all bras (and more) sale! I bought a couple of workout clothes from way back from Aerie and they were pretty satisfying .. so I decided to check it out. To my surprise, all the workout clothes were 40% off too! That's when I knew I just had to go for a mini workout hall... haven't bought workout clothes in a looong time so I was pretty excited, tbh.

I bought a black racerback sports bra, a yoga capris/type material bottom, and a thin blue sweater (I honestly never invest in these anymore but this one was so soft and perfect for walking/jogging around in.. so I naturally couldn't resist :] )

I honestly haven't really branched out in workout wear brands.. but I really love Aerie's style! They're soft, affordable (esp when they're 40% off!) and they just motivate me to workout more haha- I guess that'd be true for any other brand as well, though.

For everything, it was about 64$. I did the math and it would've been over 90$ for everything without the sale- so even with a 30-40$+ save, I'm happy :)

[Holika Holika] Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Review

Aqua Petit Jelly BB Cream Shade #2 - Holika Holika Review
So I've been hearing that this product is the holy grail of Korean BB Creams for a lot of make up users on youtube and since I was looking for a solid one anyways, I thought I'd give this one a try!! There's a Holika Holika boutique in a mall near by and when I swatched the first shade, I would have to be Snow White to match how white the shade was haha so I took a look at the second shade and it wasn't too bad.
I ordered this product online [click me] for 10$ less than the product sold at the store! The shipping is cheap and I still managed to save money :) It's a legit store and I was very pleased with the delivery!! I was told that it'd arrive in 2-4 weeks but in 12 days, I got this in the mail!! (Disclaimer: I'm not paid to say these things but I am genuinely happy that I have received this package so quickly and I am very pleased with the product and condition) Okay onto the review!

 Aqua Petite Jelly BB Cream
This product comes in a jar that's in the shape of a matte jelly/jello casing. It has a lot of product and the product itself is in a jelly consistency- like if you shake the jar with the lid off, it wiggles! The smell is pleasant, and the packaging is adorable. The lid is attached to a spatula, so you don't have to dip your finger inside the jar to get the product out (BONUS! Less bacteria :3)
It takes a few minutes to set on your face- I just buff this product around with my Real Techniques buffing brush (which is AMAZING~) before I pat it down on my face with my fingers (just for a little natural glow, I guess)
And a few minutes later, you're left with a half dewy, half velvet textured finish :)

I'm really pleased with this product- its coverage is half light to medium- and you can definitely build this to be more full coverage.

Selca- without finishing powder on top- natural lighting facing the window. My skin looks a bit white I think just because the colour contrast of my shirt naturally does that.. but then again this product is a bit whitening as most BB Creams are.

If you have any products you' d like me to review, please comment down below and I'll see what I can do~

Sephora 500 point perk at the moment

Can we talk about how amazing this package is for 500 points from Sephora's Beauty Insider card?? You receive a FULL SIZED "Girl Meets Pearl" highlighter, a mini benetint and a mini bad gal mascara. I didn't hesitate at all when the cashier asked me if I would be interested (haha).

 Girl Meets Pearl:
Ever since I got my birthday perk from Sephora (mini Watts-up, mini They're Real! mascara) I've been obsessed with highlitesr because- Watts up was, to me, friggin' amazing. Especially since I was a newbie when it came to highlighting. I realized that this highlighter brings a more goldy- highlight than Watts-up does (more champagne-y). I really love the lasting power of this product and the colour itself- application is extremely easy and you honestly only need a little bit of this product to make a difference :)

It took me a while to wind the product out of this thing though- only because I didn't want to waste anything so I really took my time twisting the bottom haha.
What the product looks like when I twist the bottom

Bad Gal Mascara:
I haven't tried this out yet- only because the last time I did was maybe... 4 years ago? And I reaaally did not like this product- because it dried out my lashes and started to flake all over my eyes, but hopefully when I try this out again, it'll be alright :)

Benetint: Though this cheek and lip stain really dries quickly- I recommend you to concentrate on each cheek instead of applying to both of them at once. It's the perfect rosey red colour and I really like this product ^^

REVIEW: Holika Holika Water March Moisture Full Cream

So a few months ago I purchased Holika Holika's "Water March Moisture Full Cream"because- well, I've never heard about it but the packaging was really pretty and I needed some Moisture-full-ness in my skincare routine anyways! So this is what it looks like form a birds eye view~ It's packaging is really nice because the lid is a washed out goldy colour and the product itself matches the colour of the font- a minty.. light version of the Tiffany & Co. colour
The Product itself is very gooey and thick- a jelly consistency. It smells really nice- almost like a lychee fruit with a bit of clean scent to it. If you look closely, there are small white looking pulps in the mint gooey product- but after smoothing it out, it disappears!
I really do like this product and use it as a sleeping pack- it makes my skin feel very very hydrated and best of all- it smells nice too! I always wake up to a nice moist face thanks to this product!!
I think I got it for $10 at the Korean airport but for sure they sell it for a lot more in the Holika Holika store at Pacific mall (Toronto). I'm very pleased with the packaging, colour, product itself, smell- and everything! It's definitely something you would want to have in your skincare list, I would say :)

SKINFOOD: Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore Collection Review

So a while back- last summer when I was in Korea and Hong Kong- I decided to pick up this "Fresh Apple Sparkling Pore" collection- it had a fresh look, and I was looking to broaden my skincare range anyways. So when I was in HK, the lady kept pushing me to try these out- so I tested them all on my hand (from left to right in the picture below- she even put stickers on the bottom so I'd know which one to use first/second/last!) and my hand was smoother after the toner, and felt like such a clean slate for make up after using the 2 other products afterwards..!

So I'll start my review of each of these products~

(From left to right: Sparkling Pore Toner, Sparkling Pore Serum, Sparkling Pore Cream)

Step 1: TONER
Packaging: My first overall impression was that the packaging for this product was soso cute- (along with the Pore Cream too~)! Because I've used up more than 3/4 of this product, it's harder to tell but at the beginning, this product really looked like some type of clear soda in a tinted apple-y green coloured bottle
(it's ombre'd to the green colour as the you reach the bottom of the bottle's packaging)

The Toner itself: I'd say that compared to the NIVEA toner, this toner doesn't make your face feel tight and dry right away- it settles into your skin, leaving a nice refreshed apple-smelling complexion. It does an okay job removing the residue from your leftover make up/ impurities- it's visible on the cotton pad.

I really like this toner and I've never gotten sick of the smell- it's not even a bad smell to begin with ! All of these products have that an apple scent that's not too much nor too faint- just perfect and makes the application more fun~

Step 2: PORE SERUM
Packaging: I thought the packaging for this product was alright- I think of all the products this one may have been the least effective but I still enjoyed it nonetheless~ The pros to the packaging is that it has a pump- making it easy to squeeze out the product- gives about a pea-size and a half per pump :)

The Serum itself: Not bad? It's kinda just like a cream- whilst the "Pore Cream" was more like a gel cream- the serum hydrated the face more than the toner, and is absorbed into the skin really really quick~

I think this product wasn't really necessary in the collection but it just makes the step 1~3 more fun, I guess?

Step 3: PORE CREAM

Packaging: I loved the little packaging of this pore cream~!! You can really see the pretty green colour I  was talking about in step 1~ It's a twist off cap revealing the jelly-like consistency of the cream.
The only downside to this is that if you're really into hygiene, you wouldn't really appreciate this as much but buying a mini spatula could help :)
The lid is like a matted out silver colour- and there's a lot of product in each of these products, which is awesome. I've been using it since August everyday- and I'm through about 3/4 of step 1, 1/2 of step 2 and 1/2 of step 3.

The Pore Cream itself:
Love this cream! I don't know what it does but it leaves my skin really smooth- not drying but not super hydrated either- it is hydrated from step 2 and 3 but it dries up leaving your face with a matte finish!
Gives the perfect last touch out of the 2 other products and I don't know- it just makes me really confident for my make up application since you need a good base/slate, right?

OVERALL
I really like this line- I don't remember how much I got it for in Hong Kong but they totally ripped me off compared to if I purchased it in Korea -_- but whatever- it's my go to skincare routine in the morning and .. I don't know what I'm going to do after I run out of this amazingness!! (There aren't any SKINFOOD booths in Canada.. yet.. but I've tried samples from the Face Shop (Chia and Mango seed line) and I think it may even top these skinfood products.. who knows..~!!

Forever 21 Package Arrived~ Haul time

So I just finished my second last exam (WOOHOO~) and my Forever 21 package arrived today too!!
I ordered this last Friday around.. maybe 11pm? And usually it comes the day right after (during weekdays) and my roomy and I usually get our packages on Mondays if we ever order on Fridays- so obviously I had that expectation but NOPE- but still glad it just arrived today <3

ONTO THE HAUL (smallish? But I consider it to be big.. being a poor uni student ;w;)

Links if you're interested in checking them out!!  ~
(Awesome because it has a thin layer of shorts underneath >w<.. just incase the wind decides to blow or sth lol;;)

So far I haven't tried on anything except for the necklace- which was a bit heavier and bulkier than I expected but it's still so pretty~ For sure this necklace will be one of my summer accessories :)

My twinsie roomy who is- I swear- my long lost twin or something <3 she bought this abstract a-line skirt a while back (November??) and I was always fascinated by the print but thought that it'd be too late to get it now- but BAM it's still in stock! So I got it and we're the same size so it was nice trying it on before ordering it just as a size reference <3

Polka dots are still so trendy these days and I just wanted to expand my skirt/dress range in my closet so bammm mini haul :)

I couldn't not get that floral corset.. it's floral and though I haven't tried it on yet, it looks soso adorable. When I move back home I should make an OOTD post of these pieces! Excited to try them out :)

BURT'S BEES - Lip Shimmer (Cherry) and Tinted lip balm (Hibiscus) Review!

This is the first time I've ever purchased a Burt's Bees product- and I don't know why!! I've been hearing really great reviews about the products- skincare, etc- but I guess I never guessed that their cosmetics range never blew up on youtube? Well- last week I decided to give this a go- since it was on sale and I just fell in love with the colours (no testers so had to open them up and see for myself! ...that's not good.. I know..)
The first colour that caught my eye was Burts Bee's' Lip Shimmer in CHERRY
THIS COLOUR IS BEAUTIFUL! I don't know even know how to start- it's so corally and it's not THAT shimmery- but it does leave a nice glossy finish to your lips <3
Pros:
- Not too shimmery- but gives you enough gloss to your lips that it looks (AND IS) hydrated!
- Pretty pigmented for a lip shimmer/balm! Love it
- Pretty affordable for a tinted lip balm, I would say- I think it was around $5-6 at Shoppers Drug Mart?

Cons:
- The packaging for this product wasn't thought out- well the packaging is okay but if you twist out "too much" product, you can't twist it back inside the tube..
Which was bothersome and annoying because I tied to push it back into the tube but.. the heat from my fingers just melted the product and ended up squishing it... not pleasant, I tell you.
- Messy

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in  HIBISCUS

This lip tint might be one of my new favourite lip tints .. ever? Let me give you some pros and cons (if any)

Pros:
- Packaging is bulkier so the product transfers to your lip better (compared to the other one- though I love the colour nonetheless)
- Less shimmery than the shimmer lip balm but it's just like a lip balm but with a sheer, beautiful tint <3

Cons:
- There weren't that many colours to choose from that were appealing to me- I just remember there being maybe 4 others?

I can't think of anything else for cons- I just really love this tint as well <3

REVLON: NEARLY NAKED FOUNDATION

This foundation is by far the best drugstore foundation that I've ever owned. I wouldn't have discovered this amazing foundation if it weren't for my lovely roommate recommending me this drugstore gem <3
The foundation is extremely blendable, does NOT-  I repeat - NOT oxidize to an orange colour throughout the day and gives a sheer to medium coverage depending on how much you apply on your face.

I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush for this foundation and wow, it's such a dream. I would say you would only need about two pea sized drops of this foundation to cover about 3/4 of your face.
I am most certainly going to repurchase this product as soon as it goes on sale.. because it is ~$15 at Shoppers drug mart but goes as low as $10 if you're lucky.

The powder, on the other hand- I'll get to that another day.
The liquid foundation is the best and I cannot stress how much I love this drugstore foundation. I don't even own that many high-end foundations anymore.. or at least I don't use them as much after I got the Nearly Naked foundation <3

My face matches the shade "Shell"- the colour on the packaging is slightly- ever so slightly- darker than if you were to apply it on your face.
But the difference is minimal; just remember to blend it over your jawline and voila~

THE FACE SHOP: Lovely Me:ex Milky Tint Review

Last week I purchased this from the first FACE SHOP I've ever seen in Toronto! It's found in Pacific Mall in North York if you're wondering but yeah! It's been open for six months but I would not have known since I go to school outside of Toronto but onto the review~

This product caught my eye because it looked similar to those Benefit cheek and lip tints, and also the colour is really pretty; peach and rosegoldish.

This is what it looks like after opening it up:

The colour may look really intimidating on the stick but it really isn't - especially after blending it out.
It gives a sheer finish to the cheeks- I haven't tried it on the lips just yet but I'm sure it would have the same outcome as it did on my cheeks. So it product is transferred from something similar to those lipgloss swabs- which isn't too bad. Honestly, you don't really need too much of the product for each cheek. Maybe about 2-3 dots per cheek.

Here's a small swatch- It's pretty sheer after spreading around the product.
WARNING! Try to smudge this on your cheek asap after application/dotting because it does stain quite quickly.. like most cheek/lip stains do.

Overall I really like this product and it's something really quick and easy to use for those days where you feel a bit lazy but want something to brighten up your face!

First Post

So for some odd reason, something inside me really wanted to make a beauty blog. Obviously I'm too shy to start making youtube videos so I thought that I'd start off smaller.
I'm planning to review products and give 100% of my honest opinion about them.

Probably ranging from North American drug store bands, some high-endish ones found in Sephora, and skincare/cosmetics from Asia as well (since some asian brands finally branched to Canada!).

I'm excited, not going to lie.
Not like I have a CANONT3i or any Nikon cameras to take SUPER HIGH QUALITY pictures..yet.. but yeah I'll see how this blogging thing goes (:

I could always borrow my sister's canon once I get back home at the end of April- almost done school gah! Finals are left~

Well wish me luck!
